We had the pleasure of hosting 30 students from Magbon Alade Senior Community High School Ibeju-Lekki,, for an engaging session of our Art Appreciation Programme (AAP). Rooted in YSMA’s commitment to expanding access to art education, AAP fosters visual literacy and a deeper understanding of art by exploring its elements and principles.

The session began with an immersive tour of the museum, sparking curiosity and discussion about the artworks on display. This was followed by a lively interactive session on the principles of art and design, and a hands-on creative workshop. Students put their knowledge into practice by crafting unique prints using yam tubers, blending tradition with artistic experimentation. The day was a vibrant celebration of creativity, critical thinking, and the transformative power of art education
